Role models and powerful ambassadors for every girl growing up in Rurki.

Minakshi Hooda and Parveen Hooda

At home with Minakshi and Parveen

When visited the training base of World Championship medalists Minakshi Hooda and Parveen Hooda in Rurki in December 2025, we were also welcomed into the homes of their parents. Living in the same village, these two girls are role models and powerful ambassadors for every girl growing up there.

Parveen’s journey is a story of resilience. Forced to give up her ticket to the Paris Olympic Games due to circumstances beyond her control, she faced limited facilities, lack of support, and pressure to quit altogether. Many would have stopped. Parveen did not. Today, she is back in the ring, stronger, sharper, and shining brighter than ever.

Boxing is more than a sport.
It is structure.
It is discipline.
It is resilience.
It teaches you to rise every time you fall.
It helps you discover your own strength.

To all girls everywhere: Never stop dreaming. Never give up.
